Focus group research of middle and high school students in Heraklion

A survey of focus groups of Middle and High School students was carried out as part of the project “Safeteen – Developing skills to enhance risk perception and safe decisions among teenagers (Road safety)”  The SAFETeen project aims to promote learning and develop risk perception and good decision-making skills in teenagers, while moving in different environments and social circumstances through innovative pedagogical and digital tools. The event took place on Friday the 21st of June, in Heraklion, Greece

The focus groups discussed questions concerning the behaviour of teenagers regarding hypothetical scenarios involving risks during their transport. The material will then be sent to the research team at the University of Valencia where, together with the corresponding reports from the focus groups in Italy, Finland and Cyprus, the questionnaires will be prepared for the large-scale research that will be carried out in the above countries from the next school term year. Special thanks to the administrations, teachers, students and Parents’ Associations of the 1st Gymnasium and 1st GEL of Heraklion for the support of the project and the cooperation and to Sophistico by greekbooks for the warm hospitality.
