On the 8th and 9th of October 2024, the second consortium meeting took place in Rauma, Finland. Project representatives from Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Spain and Finland met to assess the progress of the project in all work packages and set the next goals.

During the two days, participants had the opportunity to meet with the representatives of the Finnish local authorities, experts in road safety issues, and also visited the town hall of Rauma, where the mayor Mr. Esko Poikela welcomed them warmly. The visit to the Teacher Training School in Rauma was of particular interest, where the partners had the opportunity to get to know the Finnish education system up close.

Finally, many thanks to the hosts Mrs Brita Somerkoski and Mrs Tuija Saarivirta, and their colleagues from the University of Turku for the excellent organization, reception and hospitality. The second consortium meeting of SAFETeen took place in an excellent and welcoming environment, with the beautiful city of Rauma offering a unique experience to the participants.

It is worth mentioning that the project is funded by Erasmus+, which aims to improve the quality of skills and abilities. It mainly funds people to study, train and volunteer abroad. It also provides funding for collaborations between educational organizations, businesses, public authorities and Non-Profit Organizations, mainly for the modernization of education and training systems by promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and employability.
